I have been working therapeutically with individuals, couples and families for the past 10 years. My style is very warm and compassionate. I believe that my clients are innately strong and it is important for me to help them see their inner strength. I provide a comfortable and inclusive environment where I am able to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, gender, sexuality, racial, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Mood Disorders, Relationship issues etc. I am very focused on my clients needs, therefore, my style is eclectic given that every client of mine is individualized.
I hold a Masters of Science Degree in Counselling, specializing in Clinical Mental Health and Family/Marriage Therapy from Barry University in Miami, Florida and two Bachelor Degrees in Psychology and Criminology from St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I have also attended countless trainings across both the United States and Canada. I utilize but not limited to the following theories: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Narrative Therapy.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist and a Certified Canadian Counsellor.
